Get ready for exciting deep-sea adventure as SCPL showcases the Disney film Atlantis: The Lost Empire. The story of Milo, a turn of the century historian, who becomes part of a scientific trip to discover the lost city of Atlantis, is an exciting trip filled with fun and great story-telling. The showing is on June 26, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Summer is here. Does your garden need a little pizaz? Local craft genius and Girl Scout leader Dawn Ferch brings her clever upcycling talents to SCPL to teach how to reuse and recycle everyday items into one-of-a-kind garden ornaments to give your greenery a dash of color and spark. Dawn will teach you how to create your own gazing ball and a flower manufactured from old plastic bottles. The workshop is free to attend. July 8, from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Art is an important part of a child's creative learning and enjoyment. SCPL wants to help foster that growth! We are calling all children to come to the library and invite them to draw with chalk on our sidewalks to get out their creativity and have fun. Bring your own chalk or borrow ours, but just get out there and draw!
